Todays Card is my favorite, If you know Lisa and I, we are huge Zebra Print Fans, so when the cuttlebug embossing folder pack called "Animal Prints" came into the store, we both flipped out! One issue, neither of us owned a cuttlebug...unbelievable right? we both work at one of the largest scrapbooking/carmaking stores in Wisconsin and dont own a cuttlebug. We pondered buying it anyways and just borrowing the stores bug whenever we wanted to make a card but decided against it. Soon came my Bridal Shower (Animal Print Theme) and Lisa came over with a big bag decorated in stickles and glimmer mist, I opened the bag to find my very own cuttlebug!! I jumped up and down and squealed like a little girl I was so excited, also in the bag (with other various embossing folders) was the beloved animal print bundle, I played with the folders but this is the very first card Ive actually made using them. So when the time came, I walked over to the Judith wall picking out which stamps I would use for Fab Five week and out jumped the cute little zebra and "LIGHTBULB" Zebra Print embossing folder, oh yes! lol

Supplies Used:
Coordinations Paper
Hero Arts Jewels
Judith Stamps: Med. Zebra & Your the best
WeR Memory Keepers Heart Attack Distressing tool
and of course the zebra print embossing folder out of the cuttlebug "Animal Prints" bundle

Fab Five Day 3

Well its Wednesday, half way through our Fab Five Week, I hope you have gotten a lot of new ideas between our blogs. If you havent checked them all out here are the links to my fellow Fab Five Girls:

Here it is, Day Three, I made this card in mind of a friend who had pneumonia and a double ear infection over winter break, we had all these fun girls nights and shopping trips planned and I only got to see her twice for an accumulative 5 hours or so, and she was still battling her illness, sadly I never got to give this card to her since I had to save its release for today and then it will be on display at Picture This. oh well I guess Ill just have to wait for her to get sick again ;) hopefully it isnt anytime soon!!

It is hard to tell in the picture but the jar is stamped on top of vellum, adhered to a white piece with the bug stamped and colored.

Supplies Used:

Judith Stamps: caught a bug, medium jar, and phooey bug

Basic Grey Paper: Origins "Authentic"

Black and White Carstock

Black Ric Rac Ribbon

Vellum

Black Memento Ink

Fab Five Day Two

Welcome to day two of Fab Five Week! Here is just an example of the "stubby" stamp I talked about in my last post, The "thanks" is a stubby stamp by Judith, I stamped thanks all over the background of the tag, put one strip of My Minds Eye paper that coordinated with the cuttlebug flower and thats it! a simple tag to say thank you.

Fab Five Day One

Good Morning Followers!! Welcome to a brand new week of Fab Five Designs, this month we are featuring Stamps by Judith. I have been running around the house frantically trying to find my laptop charger to post this, I was about to put my sweats on and head out into the winter chill and sweep the snow off my car when I found remembered that my husbands laptop found its way back home, with charger :) So here it is no more waiting!

I decided to start the week of with one of Judiths most popular stamps, "Tree for all Seasons" This little tree is quite addicting, there are tons on "stubby" stamps to decorate your tree, this time I chose something I hadnt seen before, the little girl, cupcake and ice cream cone, inside the card is another one of her stamps, "Sugar and Spice" Hope you Enjoy! Follow the rest of the Fab Five the rest of the week and you will have 25+ new ideas for Judith Stamps!

Hoppy Birthday

hello hello,
Once winter break started I kind of neglected my laptop but here I am back again. This card was made with this cute frog stamp by Hero Arts, it has serious baby shower invitation potential but I decided to use it as a birthday card. "Hoppy Birthday" was spelled out using Just Rite stamp set. Im hoping to get some more posts in this weekend but Paula and I are busy getting ready for the Health and Fitness Expo held at Golds Gym in Eau Claire. This is the second annual expo but the first time "Picture This" will be attending, as far as I know there will be many various vendors from the Eau Claire area setting up booths to show off their stuff. We are very excited with only 3 more days to get ready (the expo is Tuesday night) Hope to see some new faces and educate them about our store!!

Made with Love

Lisa and I put together this cute Christmas present, perfect for your co-workers, or a friend who enjoys the simple gift of creativity from the heart. We started out with a tube from SRM (once these came in the store we couldnt wait to get out hands on them) and dolled it up with some paper from the Basic Grey "Jovial" Collection, (my favorite christmas paper collection for 2010) the mitten and circles are cut out using Spellbinders, the stamp is Amuse from there 2010 winter collection, which I have already found countless possibilities for, since basically everything I make is made with love ;)

Projects with these tubes are endless, we visited the SRM blog: http://srm-stickers.blogspot.com/2010/11/tubes-day-one.html to get some ideas so we cannot take complete credit for this project, this is our version. Im looking forward to a "Girls Night" next wednesday and plan to make one of these for all the girls :)

Last Friday I stayed for the "Scrap 'Till Midnight" at Picture This with some friends...if you havent ever been to one, your missing out! My friend Brittney is starting to get into Scrapbooking, she scrapped some recent pictures, Wedding, hunting, and family. and I made a couple pages and this card. I love Cosmo Cricket, especially this collection, "Girl Friday" the page is full of little squares with cute sayings and pictures on them, you could make about 20 different cards or so using one sheet of paper, I made this one also using pink glitter "thickers" and just rite stamps to spell out "Girls Night" hope you enjoy!

Crafty Wedding Planner

Its quite aware that my blog has been a bit neglected. Between the Bridal Shower, Bachlorette Party,Scrap Pink, Wedding, Girls Weekend, and The Picture This bus trip last weekend, My Weekends have been pretty much swamped! The good thing is that the wedding planning stress is over, finals and mid-terms will be over tomorrow afternoon and Ill have more time to create. This post Id like to show you all the stuff I made for the wedding. I tried my best to save money by making as much on my own as I could. Starting with our invitations:
They sure were a lot of work, but worth it in the end, I got a ton of compliments and truly felt they turned out as beauriful as I'd hoped.

next was the boutineres (correct my spelling if Im wrong): This was Kevin's (my husband) his was a little bit larger than the rest of the guys' to seperate his as the groom. Not that the Ivory Tux while the rest of the guys wore brown tuxes didnt give it away, I thought the cattail was a cute, different take on a boutinere, and stayed in the "fall theme" we were going for.

This was my bouquet: the flowers and cattails were all bought seperate and we assembled them like so: the rest of the bridesmaids were the same but had all yellow flowers, this was my first time making flower bouquets, I think they turned out quite nice for a first timer ;)

Save The Dates:

Centerpieces, courtesy of Aunt Jayme :)

And last but not least, our card box. I wanted something completely differnt than the traditional "card box" so I called up my grandpa and asked if he could make me a barn box. I painted it will "crackle paint" to give it the rustic look, which is hard to see. and Paula let me use her Copic markers and airbrush system so airbrush the barn also. I think it turned out awesome. I had my bridesmaid Olivia paint our names and the doors on it.

I was very happy with the way everything turned out, and It was by far, the best day of my life, I married my bestfriend and had all my friends and family surrounding and supporting me. It was a beautiful day in Eleva, WI.

Fab Five

First off Id like appologize for this being late, Ive had a lot on my plate right now and have been juggling between school, work, and wedding planning (in about 20 days Ill have my life back ;)

This card was simple to make, the pendent was cut out from spellbinders, distressed with ink and layered. A flower was added for an accent in the middle of the pendant and this brand new ribbon we got a couple weeks ago at Picture This, I have noticed that it is already very popular with customers.

I used all Graphic 45 papers for the "Le Romantique" Collection for this card.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, enjoy the rest of the Fab Five Blogs this week for more Pendant Projects :)

Sunday, August 8, 2010

Yesterday was quite the eventful day, somehow noon managed to sneak up on me and then busy busy. Britt and I (my newly scrapbook crazed bestie) ran to Picture This to gather some supplies for our Saturday Projects (initial plans to head to the beach got clouded out) She started on a mini album of her Bahamas trip last month, and I started (and finished) my first chipboard album. Ive always wanted to do one, but lack of time lately has been crushing that dream of mine. but here it is: Eleva Broiler Fest Kickball Tournament 2010 :) or atleast these are a few of my favorite pages:

Amuse Christmas Card

I made this card as a sample during A*MUSE *A* PALOOZA! I also had plans to put it on my blog as soon as I could, but as you can see that didnt happen until now, when I first saw this tree stamp, I wasnt a huge fan, looking through the baskets of new stamps I came across this one that says "Christmas waves a magic wand over the world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful" and it hit me...thats exactly what this little poor tree needs, so I made a slider card, slide the bare tree up,and there its transformed into a beautiful Christmas tree, who knows this may have to by my Christmas Card this year.

Fab Five Day 5

Well here it is, the end of a fabulous week of Fab Five projects!! Todays product was the Spellbinders Tree, I made a small forest on the front of my card, distressed the trees a little bit, and stamped over with this Unity Stamp, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where thiser is no path and leave a trail" I thought it was catchy with the trail in the middle of my card :) he he. Have a good weekend everyone thanks or checking out my blog!

More Like Sisters

Fab Five Day 4

Todays product was a sheet MME diecuts from the "ooh la la" collection. I matched them up with coordinating paper, "Shabby CHic" MME, and added some gemstones, colored green to match with copic markers. Very simple and very cute, I love how girly this paper is!!

The pictures are my senior photo session with my bestfriend in 2007. enjoy!

Fab 5 Day 3

Todays product are these rub-ons from October Afternoon, I only used two, but trust me all in the package are super cute as well. I used Graphic 45 patterned paper for the background from the "baby 2 bride" collection and rubbed the rub-on "frame" over this picture of my great grandmother to make a cute keychain.

Fab Five Day Two

Todays product was this "Time flies Stamp Set." I used Bo Bunny paper, chipboard girl (inked yellow to match), and jewels over the stamp to make it girly. I thought it would be a cute suprise party invitation for a girl. Hope you like it!!

Fab 5 Day 1

Hello!! Back to another fun week of "Fab 5" enteries!! I hope everyone is having a fun summer, I know a lot of people leave there scrapbooking/card making for the winter months but I hope many of you are still checking out our blogs for inspiration and ideas. Today we were using GCD Paper with flowers all over it, I cut out the flowers (this was the longest part of making the card, but still not that strenuous, especially since I only cut out 5), "thanks" was cut out using cuttlebug, (I dont know if you can tell in the picture but I layered a green thanks on top of a pink thanks), green grass cut out using the "icicle" punch by Martha Stewart, and the fence was simply cut strips of white paper. There you have it! a cute thanks card!! thanks for stopping by at my blog, dont forget! If you leave a comment at anytime this week on any of our blogs you get entered in for a drawing of free goodies!!

Island Girl

I found this paper at work and thought it had instant/easy potential, 12x12 sheet of summer related squares such as this "Hula Championship" and others like "Jacks Crab Shack" & "Deep Blue Swim Club" so I distressed the edge a little, added some gems (colored green with my one and only copic marker)I colored the chipboard using ink pads and stamped the inside!

Little Boy Grandpa :)

This is a page I just made tonight, the picture is my grandfather when he was young, and since he is old, and so is this picture, Graphic 45 paper fit the theme perfectly!! (Playtimes Past Collection)
